01What visualisation and voice bring day to day

• Visualisation: seeing the real state of the house — which lights were left on, which blinds are open, which setpoint applies where.
• Favourites: three or four gestures done every day, immediately at hand; everything else moves to the background.
• Voice: hands busy, arms full, at night — that is where it genuinely helps, not in the demo.
• Scenes: an atmosphere recomposing several circuits at once, triggerable both ways.

02Supported assistants and level of control

The level of control depends less on the module than on the platform: each assistant has its own catalogue of device types, and what it cannot represent does not appear.

03Customising the interface

This is the work that separates an app people open from an app people delete. It is done at commissioning, and redone after a few weeks of real use.

1. Structure by real rooms, not by distribution board.
2. Name in everyday language: « bedroom blind », not « VR-2 channel 3 ».
3. Hide anything never driven from a screen.
4. Put the three daily gestures in favourites, and nothing more.
5. Revisit after a month: whatever was never used should disappear.

04Server prerequisites and licensing

This module is added to a server already in place. Check first which reference equips your installation — see the catalogue — then the applicable licence conditions.

05What voice control is genuinely good at

Voice is oversold as a way to run a house and undersold as a way to do four or five specific things very well. The realistic list is short, and it is the one worth designing for.

• Commands with full hands — cooking, carrying, holding a child.
• Whole-house actions that no single switch carries: leaving, going to bed, closing everything.
• Rooms where the switch is on the wrong wall, which every house has at least one of.
• Asking for a state rather than changing it: is the garage still open, is the heating on.

What it is bad at is fine adjustment. Nobody sets a dimmer to the right level by voice twice. That is what the wall switch and the visualisation are for — which is exactly why this module ships the two together rather than voice alone.
